River Oaks School is a college preparatory, coeducational, K3-12 non-sectarian school serving northeast Louisiana. Testifying to their academic preparedness, our students are sought and accepted by a wide range of colleges and universities across the nation. In the last few years, River Oaks School has been honored with sixteen National Merit Finalists/Semi-finalists and several National Merit Commended students.
One hallmark of this independent school is the possibility of continuous education on the campus for fifteen years. River Oaks School is large enough to allow for a wide variety of sports activities including football, basketball, track, softball, golf, tennis and soccer. Swimming is offered for grades K-12. We also offer football and basketball programs for our 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade girls and boys. Other extracurricular offerings include drama, Interact Club, student governments, Spanish and French Clubs, Math Counts (Middle School), Fellowship of Christian Students and Fellowship of Jewish Students. We are also proud of our Quiz Bowl team and our National Honor Society for middle and upper schools. Most recently we have added Rachel’s Challenge for grades K through 12. It is our hope that each student will find any number of ways to realize success as a River Oaks Student. Our school is small enough so that a sense of community and family permeates all activities, and individual needs are addressed. We look forward to your visit to our campus and will remain available to assist you in any way we can while you are making this very important educational decision. Expecting the best of your child and for your child, I am yours truly, David Nordman, Ed.D Headmaster |
